The Kaarak (Red tail cockatoo) is an iconic symbol of wildlife in the Southwest. When you stumble upon one in the bush with its brilliant flashes of red, it's a special occasion for sure. These birds are believed to be the guides and guardians of the spirits of loved ones on their journey to rest amongst the Ancestors. I found these two (Red-tail feather and Carnaby feather) on a walk through the bush in the Perth Hills in 2019.

Delicately captured in watercolour this artwork is visually breathtaking, highlighting the beauty of the birds here in Margaret River.

These measurements refer to the artwork itself. Each print includes an additional 5 mm white border on all sides for framing, making the total paper size 158 × 220 mm, 220 × 307 mm and 307 × 430 mm respectively. 

Framed images are shown for display purposes only. Each print is sold unframed and arrives individually signed, titled, and carefully packaged with a backing board and protective sleeve.
