Dayilbidang amongst Flowering Red Gum (Western Rosella) - Greeting Card

Dayilbidang or Western Rosellas like to forage on the ground or in native shrubs. Unique to Western Australia the male western rosella displays a striking red chest, while females and juveniles have a more mottled red. They are found in open eucalypt forests and timbered areas, including cultivated land and orchards. A mesmerising transition of colour disperses over the feathers.
